HE WALKS WITH YOU DAY BY DAY  / Maria Ellis Mum Of Joanne (Friend of Billy's parents )

What does a Mom do
when she can't say good-bye?
Who takes the time to
dry each tear she cries?

Not knowing what happen
to the son she love so much.
Takes a toll on her life.
Pain can't erase that touch.

She didn't understand it all.
Maybe she never will.
But that doesn't change the love.
Oh for she loves him still.

He didn't want to share his pain.
He just couldn't confide.
That he was a hurting in his heart.
And the pain was deep inside.

But he now looks at his Mom;
Oh, the survivor she has become.
She shares her story with others.
For it relieves the pain some.

And today as he watches over her,
he sends her a special loving kiss.
Oh he knows just what she needs ...
And how empty her heart really is.

So, he reaches out to his Mom
and takes her by the hand.
He knows she still needs his love ...
And his help to understand.

So never fear, precious Mom,
your son isn't far away.
He just touches you on your shoulder ...
As he walks with you day by day.
